Setup Guide

Installation

Follow these steps to install Fork Client. The process takes about 5 minutes.

01

Install Fabric Loader

Download the Fabric Loader installer from fabricmc.net. Run the installer and select your Minecraft version. This creates the Fabric profile in your launcher.

Visit fabricmc.net/use/ and download the installer
Run the .exe (Windows) or .jar (macOS/Linux)
Select your Minecraft version and click Install
The Fabric profile will appear in your launcher
02

Install Fabric API

Download Fabric API from Modrinth and place it in your mods folder. This is a required dependency — Fork Client will not load without it.

Download from Modrinth or CurseForge
Match the version to your Minecraft version
Place the .jar in your mods folder
03

Download Fork Client

Get the latest release from the Downloads page. The download is a single .jar file — no extraction or installation wizard needed.

Choose the correct version for your Minecraft
Download the .jar file directly
No extraction required
04

Place in Mods Folder

Move the Fork Client .jar into your Minecraft mods folder. If the folder doesn't exist, create it manually in your .minecraft directory.

Open your .minecraft directory
Find or create the mods folder
Move both Fork Client and Fabric API .jar files here
05

Launch and Play

Open your Minecraft launcher, select the Fabric profile, and launch the game. Fork Client loads automatically — open the Click GUI with Right Shift.

Select the Fabric profile in your launcher
Click Play and wait for the game to load
Press Right Shift to open the Click GUI
